Product recommendations for mother and baby

I get lots of emails and messages about the products I use for both myself and my baby. Whilst pregnant I was super careful what I put on my skin as I knew whatever I put on my skin was in some way reaching my baby. Once our bubba was born I continued to research and discover new products that would be safe for both our precious boy and myself as I was breastfeeding. To be honest, these are the products that I would use being pregnant or not as I’m all about knowing exactly what ingredients I’m using and since moving to completely natural skincare a couple of years ago I’ve discovered that these products actually work better than the chemically laden ones we see in the supermarkets and department stores, oh and also a lot of products that claim to be natural or organic. Unfortunately companies can label their products as natural and/or organic with only a very small percentage of ingredients that are in fact natural and/or organic and the rest can be anything at all- toxic or not! So when embarking on your journey of discovering products that are not only safe and that actually work it can be a very expensive task. Lucky I have tried the majority of the brands out there to take the guess work out for you. Of course everyone’s skin type is different but here is my must have list as of now (as I am always adding to it as I discover and try new brands and products!).

My top skincare ranges (and the list keeps growing!):

Sodashi– is an all-time favourite skincare brand that I love, you just can’t go wrong!

Skinmade– I have just recently started using this brand and absolutely love it. This very affordable range is handcrafted in Queensland.

Jacqueline Evans– is another gorgeous hand crafted skincare range from Melbourne. I adore their scrub!

Weleda– have a great range of products for varying skin types.

Australian Bush Flower Essences– a fabulous range that is VERY affordable!

La Mav– I love their BB cream for quick and easy coverage. So nourishing too!

EcoTan– sunscreen, tanning products and their body wash is just divine!

Rosehip Plus– I use this Rosehip Oil daily and is my go-to oil, I used it on my belly too.

Be Naturallyou– Do an amazing belly oil and I used it religiously throughout my pregnancy and post birth (no stretch marks in sight!)

Love Chai, Love Tea– Breastfeeding Tea. I lived on this in the first few months post birth- amazing!

YourTea– Breastfriend Tea is also another one for those breasfeeding mummas.

Deodorants- Schmidt, Noosa Basics. I’ve tried hundreds, well maybe not hundreds, but pretty much all the brands out there and these are my top two that actually work (another blog post to come on this!)

Vanessa Megan– Bug Me Off spray- non-toxic bug spray!

Less is more when it comes to babies and products! Here are my top products I’m always using:

EcoTan– also do a fab sunscreen suitable for babies.

Ayana– have a gorgeous range including their massage oil which I adore.
